About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Accounting Expert to join our Accounting Technical Services (ATS) team at Forvis Mazars. As a key member of our audit team, you will provide technical accounting and corporate reporting support under IFRS and UK GAAP.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing accounting and corporate reporting technical queries across various sectors;
  • Reviewing financial statements for quality and compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP;
  • Providing tailored accounting technical support to key audit clients;
  • Assisting with audit proposals and coaching junior team members;
  • Assisting with the preparation of internal and external technical publications.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) accounting qualification and robust technical accounting knowledge;
  • Experience with evaluating technical issues and delivering solutions;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work with strong attention to detail;
  • Experience of working at a senior manager level or above in a similar accounting technical role.
