We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Faculty for Sciences at Inverclyde Council.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Science Faculty, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Science Faculty, including staff development and performance management.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with national standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other faculty leaders to promote a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading a faculty or department in a similar educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on science education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
