Job Title: Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Certain Advantage, working in partnership with Local Housing Association.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical surveying services across a geographical portfolio of properties and contract management for a defined planned maintenance programme across the region.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned maintenance through external contractors
  • Manage minor works, refurbishment works, and planned repairs
  • Conduct void surveying and health and safety work, including fire safety programmes
  • Work with home owners, leaseholders, and market rent customers
Requirements
  • Current, full driving license or ability to travel around the local vicinity
  • Experience of surveying and contract management in the social housing sector
  • Experience of monitoring works budgets of approximately £500k
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to understand and anticipate customer needs
  • Ability to manage procurement processes, performance management, and project coordination
  • Working knowledge of current health and safety standards and legislation
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of financial and contractual considerations
  • Risk management skills and ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver to challenging targets
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will work from Monday to Thursday out in the community, with Friday typically being an administrative meeting day.
