Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled X-ray Imaging Expert to join our team in the UK. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products to the highest standards.
This position requires fluency in English, as you will work both autonomously and in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Alongside your interest in technology and eagerness to learn, this position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills in the latest electronics technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products.
- Provide technical assistance on-site and by phone to customers, ensuring high-quality performance worldwide.
- Be flexible with extensive local and international travel, sometimes with little notice.
Requirements
- Graduate of a technical institute or university in electronics or equivalent field service experience.
- Background in RF and PLC controls.
- Basic all-around knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical components and applications.
- Expertise in reacting and troubleshooting efficiently and logically under pressure and at short notice.
- Ability to interface, communicate, and train customers.
- Ability to collaborate within a multi-cultural and worldwide team.
- Willingness to accept key roles and responsibilities within the Territory Service Team as requested.
- Basic understanding of logistical processes; familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
- Proficiency in operating an oscilloscope, DVM, and reading schematics; PLC logic programming is also an advantage.
- Familiarity with risk assessment procedures; Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification is an advantage.
- Professional and tactful demeanor; willingness to travel extensively and work at short notice and outside standard hours as required to support customers/products.
- Fluency in English is required.
