Senior Support Worker - Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to step into a leadership role as a Senior Support Worker at Cpl UK - Healthcare in Derby, UK.

About the Role:

  • As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for leading a team of Support Workers, developing individualized care plans, and conducting thorough risk assessments.
  • You will also provide hands-on support, act as a role model and mentor, and coordinate daily operations.
  • The successful candidate will promote a culture of excellence, ensuring high-quality care and support to individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Support Workers to deliver person-centered care.
  • Develop and review care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Provide hands-on support, including emotional and practical assistance.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for the care team.
  • Coordinate shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Driving License: Must hold a full, valid UK driving license.
  • Experience:
  • At least 1 year as a Senior Support Worker or 2-3 years as a Support Worker in a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and supporting others.

Salary and Benefits:

Competitive salary range: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, plus opportunities for professional growth and training, and a supportive and inclusive team environment.
