We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Dance Teacher to work as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Tamworth. This is a great opportunity to take your classroom management skills to the next level while maintaining a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise secondary school classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused on the pre-set work.
  • Utilise your experience in Dance to inspire and manage students, maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Support students by clarifying instructions and assisting with their work when necessary.
  • Handle classroom behavior effectively, ensuring that lessons run smoothly.
  • Report back to teaching staff on student behavior, progress, and any issues during the day.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Dance Teacher or working with young people in an educational or coaching role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and engage large groups of students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and schools.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK.

The salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
