Light Vehicle Maintenance Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our growing Vehicle Workshop at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our commercial fleet to a safe and efficient standard.
Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on our up to 7.5 Tonne Delivery Vehicles. This will involve ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard, completing inspections and services, and handling spares requests and time books.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of commercial vehicle repair techniques, as well as experience working with diagnostic tools. A valid C or C+E driving license would be desirable but not essential.
Key Requirements
- Maintain up to 7.5 Tonne Delivery Vehicles to a safe and roadworthy standard
- Perform routine inspections and services, including completion of relevant sections of inspection reports
- Handle spares requests and time books daily
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to ensure high-quality repairs are completed in a cost-effective manner
This is a full-time role, with a 37.5-hour workweek divided into two-week rotas. The successful candidate will be expected to work one Saturday every two weeks at premium overtime rates.
The estimated salary for this position is around £42,700-£50,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
