Job Description

As an SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting students with ASD in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your main responsibility will be to provide one-on-one and group support, ensuring that students with autism can fully access the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs.

This involves working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to deliver tailored interventions, track student progress, and implement behaviour support strategies. You will be working in a well-resourced environment where your input and expertise will be highly valued.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ideally within a primary school setting.">
  • A passion for supporting students with special educational needs.">
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with students.">
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working in a dynamic school environment.">
  • An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.">
