About the Role
This Food and Beverage Assistant position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist guests with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service delivery.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for both staff and customers.
- Support other team members as needed, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and order calculations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while also being able to work independently when required.
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a genuine desire to help guests have an enjoyable experience.
Working Conditions and Salary
The estimated salary for this position is approximately £11.44 per hour. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
