Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Older Person's Community Treatment Team in Sunderland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, neuropsychological assessments, formulations, and therapy to older adults.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead on psychological provision through consultations, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and supervision. You will provide expert advice, consultation, and training to colleagues and other non-professional carers on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care, and treatment.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide evidence-based psychological assessments, neuropsychological assessments, formulations, and therapy to older adults
  2. Lead on psychological provision through consultations, MDTs, and supervision
  3. Provide advice, consultation, and training to colleagues and other non-professional carers on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care, and treatment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Doctoral-level training in clinical psychology
  • HCPC registration
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialist psychological therapies in specific difficult-to-treat groups relevant to the client group
  • Experience of neuropsychology assessment
