We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to lead our team in a fast-paced environment at Sainsbury's kiosk in Witney, Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and sustainability, with the ability to motivate and develop their team members.

About the Role

As a Senior Sushi Food Service Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety on site, while ensuring excellent customer service and meeting EHO expectations. You will also be expected to prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift, and accurately label products to ensure lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
  • Ensure the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for customers, clients, and employees
  • Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
  • Accurately label products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift

Requirements

  • Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
  • Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
  • A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies
