Are you a skilled CNC Machinist, with the ability to operate a wide range of CNC machining tools to produce top-quality components?
Responsibilities:
The Engineering Shop provides support for tube manufacturing operations. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for machining one-off and small batch components or plant CNC equipment based on engineering drawings or internal specifications and standards. The role requires working 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, covering days, backs, and nights on a weekly rotation.
Requirements:
To be considered for the CNC Machinist role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or demonstrated competence through experience, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification, or demonstrated competence through experience, experience in setting and operating CNC lathe machines, proficiency in CNC programming, including program understanding and editing, familiarity with Fanuc systems is preferred, but training can be provided, experience in manual operation of lathes, milling machines, and general workshop machinery is advantageous, ability to interpret technical drawings and standards accurately, competence in using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers, capability to perform manual tasks weighing up to 25kg, possession of a valid driving license.
