Design Engineer Job Description

Recruit Central is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Stafford. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the design and development of new product concepts and complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop new materials and competitive products to enhance product performance and quality.
  • Organize and execute the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes to ensure timely release to production.
  • Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to plan and deliver projects.
  • Lead and support the creation of DFMEA and DVP&R documents.
  • Provide effective technical solutions to routine functional challenges.
  • Release product designs into engineering systems to a high quality and defect-free standard.
  • Lead the design, analysis, and simulation elements, and prepare and maintain personal plans to meet scheduled dates.
  • Prepare presentations and share proposals and solutions with other members of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
  • 1-3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong leadership ability and good communication skills.
  • Product Design and Development experience.
  • Effective Communications and Analytical Thinking skills.
  • 3D Modelling experience with CREO/Auto CAD.
  • Microsoft Packages knowledge.
Working Hours:

37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1pm, with 3 days on-site and 2 days from home.
