We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Policy Manager to join our team at NHS Shared Business Services. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our procurement strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of new procurement regulations and policies, ensuring seamless integration with our existing frameworks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations, laws, and industry developments, providing expert guidance to stakeholders.
- Develop and present strategic action plans to address compliance gaps and improve procurement practices.
- Design and deliver training programs to ensure colleagues understand updated policies and their impact.
- Collaborate with Group legal colleagues to develop and implement a rolling program of legal training, ensuring colleagues remain current on legislation and emerging case law.
- Develop and deliver training initiatives focused on tendering practices within the NHS environment, with a specific emphasis on Cabinet Office spend controls.
- Proven expertise in public sector procurement policy, with a strong understanding of UK legislation and regulations.
- Experience working within a public sector procurement team, with a track record of delivering training and speaking publicly to large audiences.
- Ability to handle conflicting pressures and deliver a flexible and adaptable service, meeting urgent requirements while maintaining high standards.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or equivalent experience.
- Project Management qualifications or experience, with established networks across the public sector.
- Competitive salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and development needs.
- £5,400 car allowance.
- 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy additional days.
