Specialist Learning Support Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide high-quality support to students with special educational needs.

As a Specialist Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work with students who require additional support due to various special needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing individualized support to students with diverse special educational needs
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to develop personalized plans
  • Contributing to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment


To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
  1. GCSE Maths and English qualifications
  2. A care or sport background may be beneficial but is not essential
  3. The ability to learn and develop new skills
  4. Previous experience working with SEN pupils is desirable
