We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Histopathology Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting on histology and cytology specimens, providing accurate and timely diagnoses to support patient care.
- Leading and managing a team of histopathologists, ensuring effective workflow and productivity.
- Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Collaborating with clinical colleagues to provide expert advice and support in the diagnosis and management of patients.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- FRCPath or equivalent qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Wide experience of reporting in cellular pathology, including non-gynaecological cytology and FNA diagnostic work.
- Ability to organise and manage clinical workload, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to continuing professional development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with the latest advances in histopathology.
