We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Maxillofacial Prosthetist/Reconstructive Scientist to join our team at Woodrow Mercer Healthcare Group.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, maintaining and developing a high-quality technical service for maxillofacial, restorative dental and orthodontic patients referred by their consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line Management: Manage the maxillofacial laboratory team, identifying training needs, staff development and recruitment requirements.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the maxillofacial laboratory, ensuring all expenses are within designated limits.
  • Work Supervision: Oversee and be responsible for all work produced within the maxillofacial laboratory setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing teams, supervising junior hospital doctors and departmental staff, and designing and manufacturing prototype devices and medical equipment.

In addition, they will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the analysis of pre and post-treatment orthodontic study casts to confirm that treatment outcomes meet national standards.

This is a 6-month contract role based in Oxfordshire, with a salary of £38-42 per hour, paid weekly on a 37.5-hour contract.
