About the Role

Nominate Recruitment is partnering with a family-owned and successful Packaging Company in Craigavon to find a Group Buyer. This role is primarily focused on procurement and supplier management, with a focus on purchasing and supply chain aspects within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procurement Coordination: Oversee bulk purchasing to leverage economies of scale and negotiate better terms with suppliers
  2. Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of goods
  3. Cost Management: Analyze market trends and prices to secure the best deals and reduce costs
  4. Order Management: Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues with suppliers
  5. Quality Control: Ensure goods purchased meet required quality standards
  6. Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory managers to align purchasing with inventory needs
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with strong negotiation and communication skills, at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the FMCG industry or similar. Analytical abilities to assess market trends and pricing, knowledge of supply chain management, and attention to detail and organizational skills are also essential.
