Care Home Chef/Cook Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated chef to join our team at the Inpatient Unit in Lincoln. As a care home chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for up to 11 residents, ensuring all dietary needs and preferences are met.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a care home environment, particularly with end-of-life and palliative care patients. You will develop and plan menus that cater to the specific nutritional requirements of residents, maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen, and work closely with healthcare staff to ensure meals support the health and well-being of residents.
Key responsibilities include managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies as needed, providing a compassionate and understanding approach to residents' dietary needs, and ensuring that meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
This is a temp-to-perm role, with successful candidates receiving a permanent contract. The salary for this position is approximately £13.00 per hour basic wage, with bank holiday pay at time and a half.
