Your new role

As a key member of the Central Planning Cell (CPC) team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the operational maintenance plan for rolling stock. This involves identifying, prioritizing, and allocating maintenance tasks, materials, special tools, and test equipment to ensure efficient scheduling and execution.

  • Review customer dispatch requirements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Identify and prioritize tasks based on contractual, performance, technical, and safety requirements.
  • Create and identify maintenance windows and determine available work hours to produce work orders.
  • Expedite material demands and serve as the focal point for Train Maintenance Centre and Outstation material issues.
  • Plan fleet modifications and understand Network Rail Infrastructure issues impacting diagrams and TMC capability.
  • Collaborate with Performance Analysts to capture performance data against diagram requirements for effective reporting.
  • Maintain close relationships with customer train planning departments.
  • Comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvement.
  • Utilize the SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications to inform and develop the maintenance schedule.
  • Initiate and plan fleet checks.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to meet Hitachi's new business demands.
  • Review and update test plans to ensure required maintenance can be carried out without impacting testing schedules.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the AT200 Production Planning Manager.
  • Previous experience in train planning and train diagrams is essential.
  • Intermediate IT skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are required.
