About the Role
At Network Rail, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Track Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Track Maintenance Specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the track network to ensure the railway runs safely and efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect the track network to identify potential issues and prevent accidents
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out track components, including rails, sleepers, and ballast
- Work with the team to deliver safe and efficient work delivery, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Communicate effectively with the team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and project success
- Develop and maintain your skills and competencies relevant to your discipline, staying up-to-date with new standards, procedures, and instructions

What You'll Need
- A driving licence (category B) to drive Network Rail vehicles
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and at all times of the day or night
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow rules and instructions, with a focus on safety and quality
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills and competencies relevant to your discipline
