Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Professional to join our team at Building Recruitment Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key-working a caseload of young people, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Undertaking initial and continuous assessment of needs, potential risks, and agreeing levels of support and actions to professional standards.
  • Co-developing a positive behaviour support plan with the individual, identifying triggers and actions required to enable positive risk-taking through reduced risks.
  • Supporting customers to claim and receive eligible benefits, dealing with relevant agencies to develop life skills, budgeting, financial literacy, and managing finances effectively.
  • Encouraging tenants to pay their rent and ensuring that rent accounts are managed effectively.
  • Supporting customers to access other services, including CMHT, substance misuse agencies, and/or working in partnership with other agencies as part of the support planning process.
  • Supporting customers to maintain activities, including but not limited to education, employment, training, informal accreditation, and volunteering opportunities.
  • Promoting customers to develop social skills, positive and healthy relationships, and keeping safe in a variety of settings.
  • Engaging customers to place their voice, aspirations, and interests at the heart of service delivery, promoting inclusion, equality, diversity, and community cohesion.
  • Positively supporting customers to understand their child's development in line with best practice guidance.

Essential Requirements:

  • DBS within the last 12 months (must have original copy).
  • Previous residential support.
  • Experience working with youth.
