Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our therapy team in Orthopaedics. In this role, you will work closely with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams in providing high-quality patient-centred care.
  • To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to assess and treat patients with a wide range of presentations.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English or a good standard of written English, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Formal technical qualification or equivalent skills acquired through in-service development or experience.
  • Foundation degree in rehabilitation or equivalent through in-service development or experience.

Desirable Criteria:

  • NHS experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Able to demonstrate skills in the assessment and treatment of patients without direct supervision.
  • High standard of patient handling skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
