Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at PrepWorld Ltd in Northfleet, Kent. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine scheduled maintenance and repairs on electrical and food manufacturing equipment.
  • Train and guide machine operators on equipment care and maintenance procedures.
  • Repair and fabricate new parts as required.
  • Undertake scheduled maintenance and PPM (Predictive Maintenance) activities.
  • Support the Site Services Manager in equipment maintenance, resource allocation, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Apply lubricants and other materials to machines and their parts.
  • Assemble machine parts correctly after maintenance and repair work.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and concerns from other departments and team members.
  • Collaborate with the Hygiene team on dismantling and replacing machine parts or equipment during cleaning windows.
  • Conduct pre-production machinery and equipment start-ups.
  • Work in cold storage conditions and handle manual tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with moving machinery and forklifts.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Multiskilled Engineer in food production or manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Practical experience as a Multiskilled Engineer is essential.
  • Mechanical and Electrical NVQ L3 and above is essential.
  • HNC/HND in mechanical or electrical is highly desirable.
  • Fabrication and welding skills are highly desirable.
  • Good 50/50 Mechanical and Electrical bias in experience and qualifications.
Working Conditions:

4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern, all nights, 18:00 - 06:00.

Salary:

£52,000 per annum.
