About the Firm

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is working with a small regional law firm to support its continued success. The firm is keen to develop its Private Client team to complement its existing services and expand in the regional market.

About the Role

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be based in the Taunton office and undertake a varied and interesting non-contentious client caseload. This will include the administration of estates, wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trust drafting, and tax planning. You will also be responsible for succession planning for business owners, farmers/landowners, and professionals, as well as larger estate administrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake and build a varied and interesting non-contentious client caseload
  • Administer estates, wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and trust drafting
  • Provide tax planning advice to clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in Residential Property to promote cross-referrals
  • Supervise and develop less experienced members of the team
  • Act as an active business developer, networking with existing and potential referrers to open up opportunities for new instructions

About You

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor who takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. You will have a strong analytical and communication skillset, with the ability to work strategically with clients and as part of a team. You will be confident in providing technical advice to colleagues and clients, and have a proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and referrers.
