BTEC Tech Awards Moderator Opportunity

We are seeking experienced teaching professionals to join our team as BTEC Tech Awards Moderators. As a Moderator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of assessments for our BTEC Tech Awards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend standardisation meetings to ensure you are familiar with the assessment criteria and procedures.
  • Moderate centres' assessment of candidates' work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and our procedures.
  • Send any centre requests for special consideration to Pearson and ensure all Moderator marks and E9 Moderator reports are submitted on the system by specified deadlines.
  • Maintain regular contact with your Team Leader as appropriate, raising issues as they arise.
  • Keep all records relating to your moderator role for one year after the examination series.
Requirements:

You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant subject, and since qualifying as a teacher. You will also have a degree or equivalent and be a qualified teacher.
