Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of boilers, heat pumps, and heating systems. We are seeking a Tooling Production Engineer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis at their Belper plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the tooling team to resolve quality and mechanical issues, and perform equipment adjustments as required.
  • Drive improvements with cross-functional teams to enhance production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives.
  • Support production and tool technicians in implementing robust systems and processes for managing tools, tool rooms, and changeovers.
  • Work with NPI Project engineers and the tool team to implement new products on existing and new production lines.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree level or relevant qualifications and industrial experience.
  • Previous experience as a Tooling/Production Engineer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of press tooling, jigs, and fixtures, as well as lean manufacturing principles.
  • A strong background in mechanical engineering and relevant practical experience in press tooling, sheet metal, or jigs and fixtures manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to manage small to medium-sized projects and demonstrate control of specification to implementation.
