About the Role

As a key member of Consulo First Ltd's sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our presence in the UK market. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, account management, and business development within the industrial automation industry.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leadership teams, product managers, and other stakeholders. They will also have a deep understanding of the industrial automation sector, including trends, market forces, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage assigned market pipeline opportunities and work with non-direct reports to close business.
  • Coordinate with Product Managers, Application Engineers, and service personnel to define custom product solutions and services needed to support converted business.
  • Generate sales leads, develop sales opportunities, and lead the closure of new business.
  • Qualify leads to identify viable opportunities and prioritize efforts.
  • Visit customer sites to review technical challenges and new applications for the company's range of Industrial Automation products.
  • Identify new opportunities, technology requirements, and other customer needs to bring the company's internal experts to validate and implement new business.
  • Coordinate with Area Sales Managers, Territory Account Managers, and Automation Sales Engineers to gain new business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (ONC/HNC/HND/BTEC also considered)
  • 5+ years' experience in a commercially focused role encompassing Sales, Account Management, and Business Development within the Industrial Automation or Drives & Controls Industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
