We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Architect to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our network infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and direction to a team of network engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Design Authority: Ensure the high-and low-level designs covering security, contractual and service considerations.
- Technical Architecture Roadmap: Create and implement an overall technical architecture roadmap and strategy that maximizes the return on technology investment, reduces technical debt.
- Integration and Security: Accountable for integration of the new third party SDWAN and hosted voice solutions, as well as security management, documentation and reporting.
- Automation and Network Modelling: Drive Automation roadmap and perform network modelling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical and thought leadership in conjunction with strategic oversight to assure business outcomes are delivered by the solution.
- Client and Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and third-party vendor stakeholders.
- Team Guidance: Guide and mentor technical development in the engineering & Service team.
- Change Management: Create and review impact of change, and ensure integration of the third-party solutions into existing technology and business systems.
- Reporting and Roadmapping: Create reports and technology roadmaps and convey insights to relevant people.
- Technical Strategy and Policy: Consistently ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices.
- Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends, and develop expertise in specific areas of networking, such as cloud computing, software-defined networking (SDN), or network security & Automation.
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Network Architect with a strong background in network design and technology evaluation. You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key skills and knowledge include:
- Extensive proven experience working as a Senior Network Architect.
- Knowledge of network technologies such as LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data-center LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, network-specific security and remote access technologies and approaches.
- Knowledge of Cisco SDWAN and Mitel VOIP technologies.
- Excellent understanding of Aruba networking products and solutions.
- Experience working with Firewalls – Fortigate, Cloud Firewalls.
- Ability to construct and document end to end designs for networking solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to provide assertive leadership and feedback to senior stakeholders.
- Awareness of market and industry trends and alternative products.
- Ability to work independently yet cohesively as part of a distributed team using agile methodologies.
Good to have:
- AWS and Azure cloud networking, VPCs and transit gateways.
- Python, PowerShell, API, understanding and ability to work with Active Directory.
- Mitel voice, DCI/NGNs, SIP, VOIP and understanding of telephony.
- A meticulous and conscientious approach.
- Experience with a large company including supply chain and logistics and understanding of associated business processes.
