Job Title: SEN Class Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Teacher to join our team at U-Educate, a specialist school for students with complex needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to students with SEN
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the needs of students with complex needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Support students with personal care needs, as required
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching students with SEN
  • Ability to work with students with complex needs, including those with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SEN legislation and policies
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
