Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced LV/HV Cable Jointer to join our team at Multitask Personnel Ltd. As a Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for performing jointing, termination, and installation of LV and HV cables, as well as fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of LV/HV cable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform jointing, termination, and installation of LV and HV cables (up to 33kV) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of LV/HV cable systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and report to site managers, providing regular updates on progress and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards or non-compliance, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with UK Power Networks' regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including cable jointing and terminations, and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within UK Power Networks' EPN (Eastern Power Networks) region is essential.
  • Must be an Authorised Person (AP).
  • Proven experience as a Cable Jointer working on both LV and HV networks.
  • Familiarity with UK Power Networks' safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with other DNO authorisations (UKPN LPN/SPN, SSE, WPD, etc.) is desirable.
  • Experience working in different environments (commercial, industrial, etc.) is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
