Job Title: CNC Setter/Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our Machine Shop team at Renishaw. As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating a variety of CNC machine tools to support production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating CNC machines (Milling, Turning, or Grinding) within standard set and run times
  • Monitoring and ensuring the quality of components using a range of equipment, including CMM inspection
  • Interpreting drawings and contributing to the programming of component parts where applicable

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have served an apprenticeship and have expertise in using manual and CNC machine tools, milling, turning, and grinding
  • Experience or knowledge of CNC/Manual Grinding would be advantageous to support production of in-house manufactured tools and cutters
  • The ability to follow written and pictorial instructions accurately is essential
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in generating CNC programmes, including the use of GIBBS CAM programming software would be advantageous
  • Basic PC skills are required, although full training will be given to the successful applicant
