Job Title: Learning Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disability Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

About the Role:

As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic care and support to individuals with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs. You will work closely with a team of multi-professionals to help residents progress through a care pathway and achieve their desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to residents with learning disabilities, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Monitor and record resident progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the care team.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans and strategies.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a social care setting.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • UK driving license.
