Teaching Assistant

Step Teachers is currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Year 5 Class at a successful Primary School in Thame. This is an immediate start opportunity, with the school looking for a Teaching Assistant to continue until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will be able to work full-time, but part-time arrangements will also be considered.
The Primary School has a two-form entry and focuses on successful learning through enjoyment and creativity in the classroom. At their most recent inspection, the school was rated 'Good' under the former Ofsted ratings for schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the class under the direction of the class teacher
- Maintain a tidy and organised classroom with accessible resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
- Support students on a whole class, small group, and one-to-one basis, and encourage their progression
- Comply with the school's policies and implement them effectively
Requirements:
- Recent experience working in a Primary School or with school-aged children
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
- SEND experience is desirable
