Deputy Store Manager

As a Deputy Store Manager at McCarthy Recruitment, you will be responsible for managing a diverse team of retail professionals. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the store operates at the highest level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of retail staff, from recruitment to induction and beyond.
- Ensure all staff are multi-skilled and tasked to complete a range of duties across the store.
- Assist the management team in managing the performance of self and others within agreed limits.
- Complete team appraisals within agreed time limits.
- Manage a business that is viewed as 'best in class', maximising sales at every opportunity and maintaining extremely high standards.
- Understand customers, anticipating their needs, setting exceptional standards of service.
- Identify business levers and pro-actively assist the Area Manager to keep track of the competition.
- Manage stock availability and waste.
- Driving customer service standards to achieve sales and exceed customer satisfaction targets.
