Job Overview
A highly skilled Otolaryngologist is required to join our team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. As a Consultant in this esteemed position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and participating in the full range of services offered by the department.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity is based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, serving a population of over 500,000 people across Grampian, Orkney, and Shetland regions. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, comprising specialists in Maxillofacial surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Speech and Language Therapy, Restorative Dentistry, and Cancer Nursing. Our state-of-the-art facilities include three Da Vinci surgical robots, which will support the development of a robotic Head and Neck service.

Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Otology, Rhinology, Laryngology, and Head and Neck Surgery. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating complex ENT conditions, performing surgeries, and contributing to clinical governance and audit initiatives. In addition, the postholder will be expected to participate in teaching and research activities, promoting excellence in patient care and professional development.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must be a registered medical practitioner with a license to practice in the UK. You should hold a CCT or CESR(CP) qualification or be within six months of obtaining it at the time of interview. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. A salary of £120,000 - £160,000 per annum reflects the complexity and demands of this prestigious position.
