The role involves leading procurement activities to drive value across cost, supply security and sustainability, analysing spend data and market conditions, creating should-cost models and presenting business cases to launch sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities to drive value across cost, supply security and sustainability.
  • Analyse spend data and market conditions, create should-cost models and present business cases to launch sourcing initiatives.
  • Develop & execute supplier negotiation strategies and manage the supplier selection process.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, improve sustainability and simplify flexible packaging materials.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and identify opportunities to manage new spend.

Requirements:

  • CIPS or MCIPS qualified and/or University Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years in Procurement and 2 years in Flexible Packaging Procurement.
  • Strong communicator, collaborator, negotiator, and proven commercial acumen.
  • Strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Ability to problem solve and think analytically.
  • Knowledge of packaging commodities, markets and strategies to mitigate supply risk/driver value.
  • Ability to build relationships with cross functional teams/departments/regions.
  • Able to adapt to business change and transformation.
  • Experience working within a global procurement environment within FMCG or Retail preferably.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing within packaging.
  • Able to leverage eProcurement tools and systems to provide insights/generate savings etc...
  • Ability to operate at pace, act as a driver for change and achieve goals.

Location: London, Berkshire, Surrey

Salary: Daily rate: £300 - £370 per day (Inside IR35)
