About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our team at Dovetail and Slate Ltd. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to a diverse range of learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT) to learners of various levels, up to Level 3.
  • Personalized Support: Provide tailored support to ensure all learners achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
  • On-Site and Remote Support: Work on site and at learners' homes to provide flexible and accessible support.
  • Progress Monitoring and Feedback: Monitor and assess learner progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates and engages learners.
Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Functional Skills Expertise: Have strong knowledge and experience in delivering Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT).
  • Teaching Experience: Have experience in teaching learners of different levels, up to Level 3.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
