Pediatric Dysphagia Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Dysphagia Specialist to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary feeding team, you will play a vital role in supporting children (0-19) with physical feeding difficulties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing eating and drinking risks in children, as well as providing evidence-based interventions to promote safe feeding skills. Your expertise in paediatric dysphagia will enable you to work effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of swallowing function and oral skills in children with feeding difficulties
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address eating and drinking risks, incorporating texture modification and fluid consistency management strategies
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes
The ideal candidate will possess a recognized Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification, postgraduate training in dysphagia, and significant relevant experience working with children with neurological conditions. You will also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
