About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Planner to join our team at BakerHicks. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the planning and scheduling activities for a significant EPCM project in Ayrshire, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, incorporating all relevant activities, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively and ensure optimal utilisation of manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, tracking actual performance and comparing it to planned timelines.
  • Anticipate and assess schedule risks and uncertainties, identifying potential threats to project timelines and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project planning and scheduling-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar/equivalent in engineering or related field.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management, with a focus on EPCM projects - preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software/tools (e.g. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in project planning and scheduling.
