About Our Client

Our client is a leading maintenance contractor based in the South East, delivering day-to-day responsive repairs, planned maintenance & Fire Safety and retrofit projects across the UK.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their property services division on a permanent basis. As a business with a turnover of over £150 million per annum, they have secured long-term contracts and exciting frameworks and projects in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost planning and budgeting for projects
  • Commercially closing out and setting up contracts
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of works
  • Reconciling cost/value reports and profit forecasts
  • Working off the NHF Schedule of rates
  • Approving sub-contractors and supplier payments
  • Attending and chairing progress meetings with clients
  • Regular site visits and P&L oversight with operational leads
  • Cash flow management
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a step-up opportunity. A strong understanding of commercial principles, cost planning, and contract management is essential.
