Job Summary:

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team to provide care and support to a 55-year-old gentleman with Motor Neurone Disease. The successful candidate will work as part of a job share to support the individual for 15 hours per week, with flexible hours to be discussed at interview.

The ideal candidate will be punctual, resourceful, and proactive, with effective communication skills and the ability to positively manage and respond to the individual's needs. Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Toileting, showering, dressing, meal preparation, feeding, and walking with electrical or manual wheelchair
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to the individual
  • Assisting with daily living tasks and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment

Requirements:

  • DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post
  • Candidates must be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
