Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director, Rail Infrastructure Expert to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Engineering Management and Project Management Service Line, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and work on exciting projects for various infrastructure owners, national and local governments, public and private sector clients.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join WSP, a leading global professional services company. As Engineering Director, Rail Infrastructure Expert, you will be responsible for delivering complex rail projects from initial feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation. You will lead technical teams, manage client relationships, and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and develop project proposals.
  2. Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver rail projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve project delivery efficiency and quality.
  4. Mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to identify business opportunities and develop strategic plans.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent certification.
  3. Proven experience in managing complex rail projects, including multidisciplinary teams.
  4. Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Experience with project management software, such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.

Salary and Benefits
