Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer

Our client, a leading UK-based engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team in Basingstoke. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flood risk assessments, surface water management plans, and drainage strategies for various clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
- Surface water management plans
- Surface water and foul drainage strategies
- Detailed design of surface water and foul water drainage systems
- SuDS Design using Microdrainage for residential tower blocks, solar, renewable, greenfield developments, and waste projects
- Drainage Impact Assessments
- Project management and mentoring of junior team members
- Business development and promoting the services of the company to new and existing clients
Requirements:
- BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology
- Experience working for a UK-based consultancy or local authority
- Strong knowledge of flood risk assessments, surface water management, and drainage strategies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
