The post holder will be responsible for managing patients on elderly care wards, supervising ward juniors, and undertaking procedures and reviewing referrals on other medical and surgical wards.

The appointee will work closely with clinical, medical, and managerial colleagues to provide high-quality healthcare to patients.

Main duties of the job include:

  1. Day-to-day management of patients, including clerking, arranging investigations, and dictating discharge summaries.
  2. Attendance at 2 outpatient clinics weekly to ensure a broad spectrum of experience is obtained.
  3. Providing senior expertise within Care of the Elderly and managing the full range of presentations.
  4. Working flexibly and supportively with all members of the team.
