Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at CBSbutler. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building innovative systems that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical mechanisms and precision machinery
- Provide technical leadership within a small project design team to produce high-quality design solutions
- Lead the creation of designs in 3D CAD using SolidWorks software
- Perform classical engineering analysis on designs, including stress, fatigue & vibration using conventional analysis and computer simulation
- Develop and lead engineering reports to support new product designs, failure investigation, and other formal documentation
- Coordinate with wider engineering teams to integrate electronic, control, and drive systems into equipment designs
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of machining, casting, fabrication, and moulding techniques
- Experience in the use of a 3D CAD system (ideally SolidWorks)
- Excellent technical leadership and communication skills
