Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Brighton. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing transactional activities across the Group, including accounts receivables, payables, and stock.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Group FC and CFO to assist with month-end preparation, ad hoc project work, improvement of internal financial controls, and to make a real impact in the future growth of the organisation.

As a qualified accountant, you will utilise your technical knowledge to assist with the controls and processes being implemented across the Finance team and the wider organisation, making a noticeable difference from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transactional activities across the Group, including accounts receivables, payables, and stock, ensuring accuracy and timely processing, with a focus on automation through Netsuite.
  • Strengthen internal controls across finance and the wider business to ensure integrity, completeness, and timeliness of reported figures.
  • Support year-end accounts and audits, perform internal control audits, and lead ad hoc projects for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
  • You must have recently gained your full chartered Accountant qualification (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in inventory management.
  • Expertise in balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., VAT, payroll, inter-company balances).
  • A personable individual, with a knack for building relationships across the business.
  • A desire to drive continuous improvement within the Finance team, increasing capabilities and system functions to support the whole Group.
