About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MHE Supervisor to join our team at DP World. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our material handling equipment (MHE) and the training of our FLT driver workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for FLT drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of MHE and report any issues or concerns to the Operations Manager and Health and Safety Manager.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to FLT drivers on safe working practices and behaviors.
  • Analyse and report on MHE driver audit data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve fleet safety and efficiency.
  • Investigate and report on any accidents or near misses involving MHE.
  • Ensure that all MHE drivers comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques to assessor level.
  • RTITB Lift Truck Instructor qualification.
  • Pivot Truck experience.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and work to strict deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to teamwork.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
  • Investigation experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Experience of writing training packages.
