About the Role

Chapman Tate Associates is seeking an experienced IT Technical Pre-sales Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our IT Services Provider, you will play a pivotal role in acting as a conduit between our Technical and Sales teams, assisting existing customers in evangelizing and transforming their IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Cloud, Server/Storage, Networking, and Virtualization strategy-focused consulting and design services to help clients develop their roadmap for adoption.
  • Provide strategic advice for internal and external stakeholders on Pre-sales support, Demos, Proof of Concepts, design work for IT Infrastructure environments, and subject matter expertise for the Sales Team.
  • Work closely with the Technical and Sales teams to advise on best-fit solutions and processes.
  • Identify solution opportunities for software, hardware, cloud, and services within the existing customer base and within new prospects.
  • Create Solution Proposals and work alongside Vendors such as VMware, Microsoft, HP, DELL/EMC on other opportunities that would benefit customers.
  • Keep abreast of developments in compute, storage, cloud, and virtualization technologies as well as the wider ecosystem.
  • Deliver client engagements, shaping their Cloud Strategies and creating roadmaps for migration.
  • Promote the development and re-use of knowledge across the business as required.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and the ability to hold your own in sales environments.
  • Good understanding of the different factors that influence or inhibit Cloud adoption and the ability to guide clients to make the right choices.
  • Experience with various cloud architectures (Private, Public Cloud, and Hybrid) and Cloud migration strategies.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory, knowledge of Exchange Server, and experience with SQL Server.
  • Skills in firewalling and perimeter security, with a focus on next-gen firewalls.
