Job Description

New Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Kirkby in Ashfield. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive mechanical and tooling service that ensures optimal asset integrity and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Care & Maintenance: Ensure 98% availability of manufacturing equipment through the implementation of the latest maintenance techniques.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSHE) Compliance: Ensure compliance with HSHE standards across departmental activities, contractors, and assets.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with Development Engineers and other team members on project teams to drive improvements in machine performance.
  • Quality Management: Maintain and manage effective quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO9000 and ISO14001 standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing maintenance activity, preferably in a packaging products environment.
  • Experience with injection moulding technology (essential) and blow moulding technology (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards and best practices.
  • IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and CAD systems.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Flexible and resourceful with the ability to respond to business pressures.
